‘Recharging’ NMSEA and Renewable Energy in N.M. for the 21st Century!

August 17^th – 19^th

The New Mexico Solar Energy Association is having its Annual Conference separate from the Solar Fiesta this year. We are combining the Annual Conference with a Retreat to be held at the Circle “A” Ranch near Cuba, New Mexico.  Cuba is one of New Mexico’s best secrets and the Circle ‘A’ is living history within pinon, ponderosa and oak forests.

Creeks to explore, hiking and grand views, insights and camaraderie awaits participants.

Preliminary Annual Conference/Retreat Agenda

Friday, August 17^th 

• 5pm – Registration Begins followed by Potluck Dinner

• 7pm – Re-Visioning NMSEA :  Where do we want to be next year and in 5-10 years? Identify and clarify topics for Saturday’s sessions.

• Music/Dancing/Social time - informal chats and catch-up

Saturday, August 18^th 

• 8 am - Breakfast

• 9 am – ‘Renewing and reviewing organizational fires’ with Jean Block, NGO Consultant

• Lunch

• 1:30  pm - Charging government to work for Renewables; Panel Discussion with Pauline Eisenstat, moderator, N.M. Senators Sue Wilson, Pauline Gubbels,  gubernatorial candidate Gary King, Energy Conservation and Managment Director Chris Wentz, Mel Eisenstadt, and Ben Luce. Topic questions wanted! (see below).

• 6 pm - Dinner

• 7 pm - NMSEA Annual General Membership and Business Meeting: Election of the Board of Directors

• Social time (more music and ‘as you like it’)

Sunday, August 19^th

• 9:30 am  – Breakfast‘dour by Rose, Drawing together conclusions and strategies

• 1pm- Out of Rooms!!
