Join us at New Mexico's premier Renewable Energy and Environmental Educational Fair, with exhibits and workshops focusing on practical uses of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and many other sustainable living practices.

Thermal and Electric Energy Audit for a Home

Squeezed by high heating bills in the winter? High cooling bills in summer? High electric bills yearround? NMSEA is delighted to offer a home energy audit in raffle format for this year's Solar Fiesta! This unique opportunity will contribute to a more comfortable home with energy savings for years to come.

Purchase one or more raffle tickets for a chance to win a combined heating/cooling/electricity energy audit for your home. The winner's home shall not be larger than 3000 SF and shall be located within 30 miles of Albuquerque or Santa Fe. On-site time for each auditor is limited to 3 hours.

Value of audit: $625-$745.

Thermal Audit

Thermal audit performed by Larry Gorman of Building Energy Solutions, Inc. This audit includes a blower door test, a infrared camera survey of the dwelling and recommendations for improving the heating and cooling efficiency of your home's equipment and physical plant. Value: $325-445

Electricity Audit

Electric audit performed by Randy Sadewic of Positive Energy, Inc. This audit includes a review of appliances and household practices with recommendations for conserving electricity use and making the most out of the electricity you do use. The homeowner will also receive a Kill-a-Watt meter. Value: $300

3-D Home Design

Extreme Green Design Build is pleased to offer a 3d custom house plan for your project. Designing in 3D is the only way to optimize passive solar benefits while also minimizing costly change orders by visually inspecting all aspects of the 3D model from every angle. This approach enables the customer to virtually walk through their future home before any work actually begins. The winner's home be located within 30 miles of Albuquerque or Santa Fe. See a high resolution example of a 3D rendering of a room.

Air Breeze Wind Generator

Southwest Windpower has donated a 12-volt, 200-watt Air Breeze wind generator. Good for small wind applications, typical production in 10-12 mph winds is about 20-30 kilowatt hours per month. Designed for higher efficiency at lower wind speeds. This is only the wind generator. You will also need a pole mount, wire, batteries, etc. Please bid on this item - only if you are familiar with wind technologies.

400 linear feet of 6" foam crown molding

Extreme Green Design Build is pleased to offer 400 linear feet of 6" foam crown molding. The molding is made from expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) and is actually made from the waste recycle process of the MightyWall.com Insulated Concrete Form system. The foam can be easily coated and used for interior crown molding.

Solar Stock Tank or Pond De-icer

Sacred Power Corporation has donated an SP-Bubbly, a solar de-icer. The SP-Bubbly is designed to provide aeration in small ponds as well as de-icing for stock tanks when there is no power available to run traditional air pumps.

Solar Ranch has donated a Global Sun Oven capable of reaching 420 degrees, produced by Sun Ovens International. For more information go to www.sunoven.com.

Adobe Bricks

New Mexico Earth Adobes donated 200 sun-dried semi stabilized adobes. These are available for pick up from their yard between May and the end of October--an important point as winter adobes are as gold. A sample will be at the Fiesta.
